7-3-25 THOUGHTS
NO POST TOMORROW!
So simply... “God is LOVE and as He is, so also are we in this world...” This is US created in God’s IMAGE showing that image to the world! LOVE IS THE KEY! The words ABIDE and PERFECTED are significant in our reading this morning. Perfect love... No fear! Finally, a powerful source statement... “WE LOVE, BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US!” There it is!
1John 4:12-19 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us.
1Tim 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1Pet 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,
A Prayer:
Lord, continually teach us this love that is You! Help us to stretch toward perfection in love as we worship You and serve You. May we walk in love in the world that You created and love in spite of its glaring problems. Raise us to a higher plane of thinking, loving and living, dear God.
